Four films for this year’s Valentine

Kathmandu- Three films are waiting anxiously for February 14 to make to the theaters on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

‘Miss You’, ‘Maya Ko Bari Ma’ and ‘Majboor’ are competing for audience from February 14 while ‘I Am Sorry’ was released a week ago.

It is a worldwide trend that the films based on love stories begin their screening on February 14 and Nepal is following this trend.

‘I Am Sorry’ deals with love story between two different class of people—a taxi driver and a girl from affluent family—while ‘Miss You’ is based on a relationship among the three friends. ‘Maya Ko Bari Ma’ weaves struggle faced by the lovers when their families are at odds while ‘Majboor’ is a love story with action.

These four movies claim that they would turn out to be a big hit.

Despite Director Dinesh Rawal’s claim that the movie succeeding drawing a lot of audience; ‘I Am Sorry’ had received a mixed reaction.

‘Miss You’ has dropped the ongoing trend in the Nepali films—wandering in jungle, messy fight scenes etc—and presented fresh ideas, Director Suresh Darpan Pokharel claimed.

It has been said that ‘Maya Ko Bari Ma’ directed by Dayaram Dahal reflects adolescent relationship.

Time will decide the fate of these movies once they hit the theatres.
